After announcing increased prices, Spotify to Pay Songwriters About $150 Million Less Next Year (www.billboard.com)

When Bloomberg reported that Spotify would be upping the cost of its premium subscription from $9.99 to $10.99, and including 15 hours of audiobooks per month in the U.S., the change sounded like a win for songwriters and publishers. Higher subscription prices typically equate to a bump in U.S. mechanical royalties — but not...

I typically like to just buy my music but the appeal of spotify, to me, is the algorithm and being able to play random singles and one offs from artists I would probably not ever hear a single thing from otherwise.

I think the point of that one is that millennials post to their friends, not to their stories.

This was posted on another one of my lichen posts. It’s a good one!

Just like this sub. The only shit getting posted on it is articles about shitty things happening.

Why are keyboards getting smaller?

I’m not a true mechanical keyboard enthusiast. I mean I like a good keyboard for typing code, so I rolled with model-Ms in the 80s and 90s, then some expensive Cherry keyboard I only recently retired because it was utterly spent (and it was PS/2), and now I happily use a Wooting Two HE....

That’s what’s so great about go. It’s doesn’t take a large investment to learn it.

Oddly enough, just last week I got a reddit notification that someone had replied to a comment I made… 11 years ago.

The comments here are everything I hoped for.

I swear people just scroll through lemmy, see a post they like and then think to themselves, “this is cool, I should post this on lemmy!”

Would they surface that to the user anyway? That’s something to log, not to tell the client that xyz service failed because of error 123.

There’s nothing a user is going to be able to do if this is a problem with their backend. The person I replied to did specify backend, right?

Think glass pipe versus glass cylinder or rod. Though, I don’t think the hollow core is fully empty, it has some structure to it.

Here is an example

What distro are you using?

Did you follow any guides for getting all of your games running?

These were growing on wood just near the waters edge at a beach in the Puget Sound.

This person posted the format, not a direct answer to your question. Very confusing.

It was very tiny, about 2mm in diameter, but it stood out to me on the weathered bench.

I can go damn near all day on my m1 MacBook. Those things have insane battery life.

My iPad is essentially a paperless notebook.

I use it for dnd sessions, brainstorming, sketching, anything I would use a regular sized for.

I also use it as an extra screen to watch YouTube or something on while I’m gaming at my desktop.

I would love a foldable to have if I started having to go back into the office, it would be nice to take notes on in meetings. But they are just too big for me at the moment.

I dont get why people are mad about this. I’m happy that games are coming out that destroy top setups today because that means they will be beautiful (hopefully that’s what they are with max settings) with future hardware.
